The system distinguishes between "facts" and "conclusions," linking each statement to its source or logical basis, ensuring transparency and accountability in AI-generated outputs.
Our system operates through a three-tiered approach that allows users to verify information and understand the reasoning behind AI-generated content, bridging the gap between AI capabilities and human trust requirements.
How It Works
1. Statement Classification Module
Every AI output is parsed into atomic units (sentences or sentence fragments). The system classifies these units as either "statement of fact" or "conclusion."
2. Justification Linking for Facts
For each fact, the system attaches a citation: a clickable reference that leads the user to the underlying data source, authoritative report, or academic literature. Users can easily verify factual claims, ensuring transparency and accountability.
3. Justification for Conclusions
For each conclusion, the system provides a "reasoning path" that outlines how the stated facts logically support the derived conclusion. Clicking on a conclusion reveals the foundational facts and the inferential steps taken to reach the conclusion.
